On 20^th September took place the handover of the glucometer in the premises of the Casa de los Tres Mundos. The Mexican sculptor Mr. Sergio Canudas donated this appliance to the Japanese hospital of Nicaragua which was represented by the vice director Dr. José Santos Meza.

Cada año desde 1995, la Asociación Danza Contemporánea organiza el festival internacional de danza contemporánea, convirtiéndose Nicaragua en escenario idóneo para el reencuentro de los artistas de la danza contemporánea con su público, cada vez más números y diversos, cada vez más crítico y propositivo.

The children’s library „Rincón de Cuentos” in Malacatoya / Los Ángeles is a place where children can read in silence or talk with others about books, stories and tales, where they can dream, where they can learn new things or “just” enjoy. Almost 100 children are using the library regularly.

Volcán Cultural is a new radio program of the Foundation Casa de los Tres Mundos, initiated and realised by Waleska R. Cisne, responsible for the communication coordination and public relations. This program will be used in first place for the promotion of the cultural events of the center Casa de los Tres Mundos and the local nicaraguan artists. Interviews with artists, national and international personalities, authors and so on will be part of Volcán Cultural. Every radio show will contain one cultural topic which will be as well dicussed by the listeners.

More than 130 poets from 51 countries, including Nicaragua, participated in the “VII Festival Internacional de Poesía de Granada” which was celebrated from February 13th till 19th in honour of Claribel Alegría, the “poet of love and social compromise”. Claribel Alegría was recently decorated by the government of Chile with the “Orden al Mérito Docente y Cultural Gabriela Mistral”.

The Casa de los Tres Mundos is promoting in 2011 a capacity building project and at the same time a musical production. The “Ópera Reggaetón” is a training program for young Nicaraguan musicians in specific artistic and managing capacities, including a musical production at the end of the cycle. The Second International Street Festival “Berrinche Ambiental” deals with the subject of environmental protection: About 150 artists, volunteers and environmentalists from America and Europe presented their skills in diferent performances during one week.

The foundation Casa de los Tres Mundos offered different cultural activities in 2010: Movie presentations, expositions, dance performances, theater, literary events and more.

Mar Solis, a spanish artist from the Artsur Foundation, came to the Casa de los Tres Mundos to offer a drawing workshop. From 18th to 26th of May Mar Solis taught the basical methods in drawing of still life and portrait.
