On August 19th 2011 the „Casa de los Tres Mundos“ opend the art exhibition „ Labertinos y Sueños“ of the in Granada born artist Eddy Mena.
VISIT OF THE DRAMA GROUP “DIONISOS” OF THE UNIVERSITY OF COSTA RICA
The Casa de los Tres Mundos, in its endeavor to promote the art and the cultural exchange between different countries, was visited by young actors of the drama group „Dionisios“ of the university of Costa Rica.
XVII International festival of contemporary dance
Since 1995 the association of contemporary dance is organizing once a year the “Festival internacional de danza contemporánea”.
Nicaragua had become the appropriate location for the reunion between the artists of the contemporary dance and their audience.
Art with passion and community spirit
On 20th September took place the handover of the glucometer in the premises of the Casa de los Tres Mundos. The Mexican sculptor Mr. Sergio Canudas donated this appliance to the Japanese hospital of Nicaragua which was represented by the vice director Dr. José Santos Meza.

The second anniversary of the “Rincón de Cuentos” in Malacatoya / Los Angeles
The children’s library „Rincón de Cuentos” in Malacatoya / Los Ángeles is a place where children can read in silence or talk with others about books, stories and tales, where they can dream, where they can learn new things or “just” enjoy. Almost 100 children are using the library regularly.
Radioprogram “Volcán Cultural”
Volcán Cultural is a new radio program of the Foundation Casa de los Tres Mundos, initiated and realised by Waleska R. Cisne, responsible for the communication coordination and public relations. This program will be used in first place for the promotion of the cultural events of the center Casa de los Tres Mundos and the local nicaraguan artists. Interviews with artists, national and international personalities, authors and so on will be part of Volcán Cultural. Every radio show will contain one cultural topic which will be as well dicussed by the listeners.
Nicaragua celebrated the world of poetry during the “VII Festival Internacional de Poesía de Granada”
More than 130 poets from 51 countries, including Nicaragua, participated in the “VII Festival Internacional de Poesía de Granada” which was celebrated from February 13th till 19th in honour of Claribel Alegría, the “poet of love and social compromise”. Claribel Alegría was recently decorated by the government of Chile with the “Orden al Mérito Docente y Cultural Gabriela Mistral”.
Ópera Reggaetón
The Casa de los Tres Mundos is promoting in 2011 a capacity building project and at the same time a musical production. The “Ópera Reggaetón” is a training program for young Nicaraguan musicians in specific artistic and managing capacities, including a musical production at the end of the cycle.
