The Second International Street Festival “Berrinche Ambiental” deals with the subject of environmental protection: About 150 artists, volunteers and environmentalists from America and Europe presented their skills in diferent performances during one week.
The foundation Casa de los Tres Mundos offered different cultural activities in 2010: Movie presentations, expositions, dance performances, theater, literary events and more.

Mar Solis, a spanish artist from the Artsur Foundation, came to the Casa de los Tres Mundos to offer a drawing workshop. From 18th to 26th of May Mar Solis taught the basical methods in drawing of still life and portrait.
In April the members of „Música en los Barrios“ eagerly expected a very special event. The IX Semana Clásica was just around the corner. This week was dedicated solely to classical music and took the hearer every night to the versatile manifestations of the classic. Majestically a march was stroke up by the brass ensemble while the violins lamented in the romantic orchestra composition of Johann Strauß and playful melodies on the piano brought Mozart to life.
Within the context of the Semana Clásica a so called Didáctica took place as well. „Música en los Barrios“ visited the Colegio Aleman (German School) in Managua to give a lesson of quite a different nature. A bunch of 6 to 10-year-olds came to the gym and sat down on the gymnastics mats. But the kids could not settle back because „Tallerist“ Israel Saenz set them in motion. Together with the children he began to sing a song about a cowboy and his horse.
In honour of the nicaraguan poet Azaria H Pallais and with the slogan “The poetry is the angel of the imagination” will be realized from the 14th until the 21st of February the VI International Poetry Festival, where more than 100 poets from all over the world and about 50 thousand visitors will participate.
“The festival will be extended to 14 communities, including Granada as the main location, said the poet Francisco de Asis Fernández, the president of this cultural event.
