The Casa de los Tres Mundos and the “Calaca Press” opened last Wednesday, 2nd November, the exhibition “LA CALACA PRESS INTERNATIONAL PRINT EXCHANGE”, an exhibition of artists from all over the world, who met in order to celebrate the “Día de los Muertos”.
Among others there are participating artists from Argentinia, Austria, Colombia, Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Italy, Mexico and Nicaragua.
The inauguration was furthermore enriched with the participation of artists of the Clown- and Mimic school of Granada and the streetartists of the “Calzada”.
The “Calaca Press” is a project, which is founded by Carlos Barberena, a Nicaraguan artist, who is living in Chicago, with the objective of promoting and supporting the production of graphic works as well as for creating connections between artists from all over the world through invitations, exhibitions and the exchange of artworks.
Since its foundation the “Calaca Press” has realized workshops, speeches and exhibitions in various places, like for example in galleries, at trade shows, in universities, in schools and puplic places.
The exhibition ist open until November 16th.
