One of the essential priorities of the work in the Fundación Casa de los Tres Mundos is the art education. Therefore we are always seeking to improve it by courses, seminars and innovations in diverse areas and orientate it in this way towards the future.
In this sense, during the week of 23th to 28th January 2017 a 3D printing workshop under the direction of Daniel Querol took place. The workshop was aimed at professional groups, for which the conveyed knowledge in theory and practice was relevant; among them architects, artisans, computer scientists, artists and students. 16 participants made use of this great opportunity and were not only introduced to the art of 3D printing, but also built their own printer. This was a modification of the model Prusai3, designed by Querol himself, which produces three-dimensional objects from molten plastic and which, according to the course leader, is very effective in performance and handing.
The workshop concluded with a public presentation at Casa Tres Mundos, where the models were inaugurated and curious visitors could get an idea of what these small devices are capable of and what elements they can create. Impresionante! We would like to thank all the participants and especially Daniel Querol.
