Currently Granada is preparing for receiving artists from Germany, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Russia and Nicaragua on the occasion of the 1st International Jazz Festival of Granada.
This event will take place from 20 to 22 October at different locations all over Granada.
The different venues are: Parque Central, the street „La Calzada“, the Old Rail Station, the Hotel Granada and of course the Casa de los Tres Mundos.
According to the organizers, they want to create with this festival „an annual event, that revives the music culture of Granada and they want to propose it as an integral part of the cultural agenda of Granada.“
Among others following artists are participating in the 1st International Jazz Festival:
Ella Ponce (Chile – Panama), Ramai Das (Nicaragua), Javner Alanpana y Potota (Nicaragua), Jazz – Tá (Nicaragua), Ethnias Jazz (Costa Rica), Enríque Fernández (Dominican Republic – USA), Mario Sacasa y Julio Vásquez (Nicaragua), Pequeños Amigos (Nicaragua – Austria)….

The organizers, the musicians Mario Sacasa, Julio Vásquez and Mariano Marín, hope for a large interest, a numerous audience and that this festival could serve as a model for coming similar realized events in Nicaragua.
