The children’s library „Rincón de Cuentos” in Los Ángeles, Malacatoya is a place where children can read in silence or talk with others about books, stories and tales, where they can dream, where they can learn new things or “just” enjoy.
… open up new worlds
… create dreams
… widen horizons
… invite to laugh, to cry and to think
… give the phantasy wings
… make forget the problems of daily life
… help to understand the world
To become readers, children and adolescents need a lot of books they like and a place where they can leaf through the books, touch them, look at them and read them. But in the community of Los Ángeles, only a few families have books at home and the school does not have literature for children and adolescents, except the schoolbooks. For this reason, the past volunteer of Pan y Arte Tina Reiter had the idea to establish a children’s library in Los Ángeles. In April 2009, the „Rincon de Cuentos” was inaugurated thanks to support of the Foundation Casa de los Tres Mundos and the Foundation Libros para Niños („Books for Children”).
The library is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 8am to 12am and from 2.30pm to 5pm for anybody who is interested.
