On Saturday, April 22, 2017, visitors to the Casa de los Tres Mundos were able to go on a musical journey through Latin America. American guitarist Michael LaBella presented the different facets of tango in his concert “La Era Dorada del Tango”.
Michael LaBella, currently living in Granada, began playing the guitar as a teenager in Wisconsin. He discovered his love for the classical guitar and traditional Latin American music in Puerto Rico, where he learned the technique and interpretation of flamenco in the conservatory. Since then he has been working as a musician in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and in the United States.
With virtuosity, great passion and emotion the artist played traditional tango from Argentina and Paraguay, Habanera de Cuba, and also the Samba of Brazil was surely not lacking. This was how Michael LaBella gave an idea of his extensive knowledge of the various musical styles.
A hearty thanks for this sensual and interesting evening.
