On Saturday, April 8, 2017, the La Orquesta Filarmónica Juvenil filled the Casa de los Tres Mundos with its harmonious sounds.
The orchestra is composed of young musicians between 15 and 25 years and enjoys a very good reputation throughout the country. It was founded by Irma Koch with the aim of bringing together young people with an interest in classical music, and to perform through great effort and intensive rehearsals impressive compositions.
For the first time under the direction of Rosemarie Schraufstetter, who is also from Germany — Irma Koch was among other thing the master of the conductor’s baton too — The Young Philharmonic Orchestra demonstrated once again its abilities.
Musical jewels taken from operettas and concerts; from Franz Schubert to Jules Émile Frédéric Massenet: a varied and intercultural concert program was provided — as well as the guarantee that nobody left the building without the catchy melody of the last piece “Pirates of the Caribbean” burned into his memory.
A warm word of thanks goes to our guests, the organizers, and especially to the young talents who have made possible this wonderful evening.
