The Fundación Casa de los Tres Mundos hosted the I Festival de Cine, Ciudad y Arquitectura 2016, the First Film, City and Architecture Festival 2016, an initiative of filmmaker Perla Briceño and architect David Ruiz, in a joint effort by the Guerrilla de Comunicaciones, Alianza Raíces de Nicaragua and the Fundación Pedagógica Cristal.
The objective of this festival was to enrich the cultural and academic environment, projecting cinematographic works that motivate to reflect and dialogue about how we think, build, live and promote our cities and architectures.
Bye, Bye Barcelona was the documentary film that was screened, focusing on the issue of the effects of Mass tourism. Despite being Barcelona an European city, the situation is similar in Granada, on a smaller scale but it should be nevertheless a subject of concern and motivate to search for corresponding solutions.
For the final night in Granada we counted with the participation of the architects Ma. Auxiliadora Reyes, Napoleón Guerrero and Eduardo Rodríguez, who led a pleasant conversation with the present audience.
Thanks to Perla Margarita Briceño and to the Festival of Cinema, City and Architecture, for having confidence in our Casa Tres Mundos and allowing us participate in this beautiful project.
