In November 2018, Casa Tres Mundos (C3M) asked their students and program participants about their perceptions of the music school and visual arts classes, and about their dreams for the future. Let’s listen to their answers!
The quality of musical teaching and learning

C3M as a second home
“For me, C3M is like a second home, in fact I have grown up here and have created a beautiful and dear family”. (Margarita)

Music to grow as a person

The future as an artist

This activity and student responses reveal that being part of C3M means much more than learning music or developing visual arts skills. Students recognize and appreciate the high level of musical and art teaching and opportunities for learning at C3M. For many, C3M is a second home, and the artistic community of C3M takes on the role of a second family. This reflects the positive climate and deep relationships that students develop with their peers and teachers over the years.
Music and art play important roles in these students’ lives. These experiences positively impact their mental health, wellbeing and personal growth. Participating in C3M classes and events allows students to live new experiences, to become more open to the world, and to meet and know new and different people. When students express their goals, many of them wish to become successful professional artists. They know that C3M affords a unique learning opportunity; one not commonly available to Nicaraguans. And, they recognize that this learning opportunity opens the door to careers associated with the arts or as professional artists. C3M takes pride in providing these opportunities for personal and artistic growth and the role it plays in the lives and development of children and youth.
